Sustainable development workshops were offered to students of the Centro Bachillerato Tecnológico de Perote, Veracruz (CBTa 86).

 Within the agreement that both institutions held and with the aim of providing the CBTa students an approach to the sustainable development vision and the actions that the Centre of Rural Development Quetzalcóatl A.C. extend, more than 300 students visited the organization’s facilities from October 10^th to 12^th. After a conference in which topics such as global warming, alternatives for the sustainable management of residues, ecological ??? and the challenges that petrol scarcity will bring us in a near future were discussed, the students took a tour around the facilities, getting to know in situ the technologies that the organization handles, such as the “grey water” treatment plant, ecological restrooms, the Veracruz biodigester, the ecodomo, etc.    

 Trough this, the students had the chance to broaden their concepts as well as learning alternatives to solve their communities’ concerns in a sustainable way.

 Topics were approached from the Chemistry school subject, with the purpose of making participants relate their classroom knowledge with its practical application on the sustainable development field and eco techniques.
