Si le das un pez a un hombre le quitas el hambre un dia, si le enseñas a pescar sustentablemente, se la quitas para siempre...
(If you give a man a fish, you take away his hunger one day... if you teach him to fish sustainably, you take away his hunger forever...)

Grey Water Treatment Plant

This treatment plant is made of block, recycled plastic for first filter, gravel and sand for the second, and water lilies in the third stage. The water obtained at the end of the process can be used for irrigation or for other tasks. However, after filtering forward using a Bio-sand filter, (like those promoted by CAWST of Canada), can be used for drinking. Advantages:

  1. It purifies the water from the shower, kitchen sink, laundry, house cleaning water, and so on.
  2. It is very cheap as consisting of 3 tanks of 2.5 mt long and 80 cm wide and 65 cm deep.
  3. It is very durable, because with a little care can be in operation for 30 years or more.
  4. You do not need expensive materials or parts that are hard to get.
  5. It’s easy to built for anyone who doesn't mind a little manual labor and a little patience.
